L&N Federal Credit Union has been serving its membership since 1954. The credit union was originally established to serve the workers of the L&N Railroad in Louisville Kentucky. It went on to serve employees from over 725 companies based throughout Kentucky, Southern Indiana, and Tennessee including: CSX, Churchill Downs, Kentucky Lottery, Baptist Hospital East, Audubon Hospital, Jim Beam Brands, Van Melle, Laurel Cookie Company, and many more. Today, the credit union has a community charter and is open to the Louisville, Southeastern, and Northern Kentucky areas as well as some surrounding counties.
With a broad base of business partners and with total membership near 60,000, we strive to offer our members everything necessary for their personal finances. Our members are able to take advantage of flexible loan products that enable them to purchase new and used cars, new homes, dream vacations, and much more. A variety of deposit products are available to make everyday finances easy, and many services are offered for members to invest in their future. We also try to stay on the cutting edge of technology and offer products such as internet home-banking and telephone banking.
Set up as a financial cooperative, credit union profits are given back to our members/owners by way of better interest rates, better fees, convenience services, and resource programs.
